FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 3, 2021

After much thought and consideration, the Arkansas Flower and Garden Show board has voted to no longer hold our annual Arkansas Flower and Garden Show.

We appreciate the support of exhibitors, board members, volunteers, and guests who have supported and participated in the show over the past 30 years.

It is, indeed, an end to and era. Former board member and long-time show supporter Janet Carson explains the decision making process the AFGS board went through to make the difficult decision. Read the article here.

Celebrating our 30th Anniversary, the Arkansas Flower & Garden Show, a nonprofit organization, is the largest three-day celebration of gardening in the state. The goal of the show has been to cultivate an interest in the Natural State through what is grown for beauty and sustenance. Visitors come to learn about gardening and shop for their homes and gardens.

Because of COVID, we have decided to change this year’s event into an online event as the Arkansas Flower and Garden Contest where the winner’s work will be showcased through videos. We are announcing the contest on KARK & Fox, Wednesday, Jan 27th. You can see more information below.

We hope to return to the annual in-person shows next year.
